Q.   How much does it cost for an electrical inspection?

 

A.    A Periodic Inspection Report is an extensive inspection of the whole electrical installation and price

        depends on size of property, starting at £75 (plus VAT) for a small flat.

 

 

Q.    What happens if the Report shows deviations from IEE Regulations?

 

A .   The Report will identify any deviations and with the Report we give a Quotation to rectify these

        deviations.  On completion of remedial work we would issue a Completion Certificate or Minor Works

        Certificate to show that the installation now meets current Regulations.

 

 

Q.    I only want a couple of new sockets.  Is this too small a job for you?

 

A.    No, we will undertake a wide range of work, from a small domestic job to a complete installation.

 

 

Q.    I need an extractor fan for my bathroom, but don't know what to get. 

 

A.    We will come and look at your bathroom and advise what you need and give prices to suit.

Q.   What is the NICEIC

 

A.   The NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting) is the electrical

        contracting industryís independent, not-for-profit regulatory body covering the whole of the UK.

      The NICEICís objective is to protect consumers against unsafe workmanship by raising technical

      standards within the industry.

Q.  Why use an NICEIC approved contractor?

  • Work is carried out to the national safety standard BS 7671
  • Customers get an electrical installation certificate confirming that the work meets the national safety standard
